Feb 2, 2008 Wayne has gone North and my partner Jenny is doing her Open Water course with Plunge Diving at Chowder Bay. With the day to myself I head to Shelley where the sky's blue, the water clear and there are divers everywhere. Having paid $16 for parking for the day I was going to make the most of it. My first dive was simply from Shelley Beach West towards Fairy Bower. The viz was great and the water warm. There were lots of fish of all sorts including a school of squid. After this dive I took a long walk to Queenscliffe and back, then repeated the dive. I had hoped to see Dusky Whaler sharks which I was told were in the area but I never saw any. It was 2 lovely dives.
