Lighthouse Bommie is called that as it is shaped like a lighthouse. We do 2 dives here and they are not enough. Around 26m at the bottom it rises to about 5m at it's top. There is a second smaller bommie adjacent to it. We spend our first dive at the 20m to 25m depths, finding many lionfish. Our second dive is shallower and we go around the smaller bommie first, having an encounter with an olive sea snake. It does not bother us but swims on it's way. Back around to the main bommie we wind our way up. There is a multitude of fish here and Jenny finds a turtle and gets a nice pic of it as well. The top of the bommie is just covered in corals and smaller fish. This is another great dive site. |
