Minmi Trench 10-03-07 |

Seas were up so we decided that the Tuggerah was not a good option. We thought Botany Bay would be kind to us so we headed out of Foreshore drive. We thought that out of the heads would be unlikely but felt it was worth a look. At Cape Banks the seas were up but not too bad so we settled for Minmi Trench. Well, the viz was great and the water a warm 22C. On 36% Nitorx we dived for 59 mins at max depth of 24.7m. There was plenty to see from nudies and soft corals on the walls to old wives, cuttles and much more. This site isn't dived too often which is a shame. It is well worth it. We realised when it was time to ascend that the seas had got up a bit. when we released to the anchors they quickly headed off, the boat being driven by the seas. 3 minute safety stop and back in the boat and around to Bare Island for a cuppa.
