The weather was not good and the seas not kind. Strong winds and
big seas running from the south. It was even rough at the
Foreshore road boat ramp. We knew Kurnell would be our only hope so we
battled our way across Botany Bay and to Inscription point. The
conditions weren't brilliant but diveable so we dropped over the side.
The viz was not as good as we expected, 5m at best and a strong current
running east. Not a lot of fish life to see - a lone weedy sea
dragon kept our interest for a while. Back at the surface it had
got even rougher, The wind was tugging at the boat and I struggled to
get around from the front of the boat to the ladder at the back.
We made a wise decision not to attempt to dive again that day and headed
home.
