Barrens is a regular dive for us.  It has lots to offer - depth to 28m, shallows, swim throughs and deep walls.  As usual our anchor was in the split.  We put the back one out as well - it landed on the sand.  The conditions here were not good.  The viz was down to about 5m and the surge was quite big.  I chose not to go through the cave and chimney but Wayne did.  A lone adult PJ guarded the cave.  There were the usual groper, old wives and other suspects, but on this day Barrens was not at it's best.
