I hadn't dived Barrens Hut since May last year.  Conditions were great but viz was variable.  We anchored in the split and headed back through the swim throughs.  Lots of fish here, we were greeted by a curious cuttle who hung around us for a few minutes.  We wanted to go through the cave and up the chimney but the kelp in the cave looked quite thick and we decided not to risk getting caught up in it.  Past the cave we found 3 different nudies on the one plant.  And on the back was a number of brittle star fish - very small.  Even smaller was an orange fish not more than 5mm long which skipped from plant to plant.  At one stage it landed on one of my strobes.

Again, Barrens Hut does not disappoint but yields interesting creatures at every turn.
