First time in a while that the weather has been favourable. Flat
seas and light winds and the hope of good viz. Wayne Heinz and I headed
out of Dolans Bay and easily anchored over The Split. I was first
down and the viz was pretty good. I dropped the anchor down into
the split and headed south. A few scattered PJs and groper and
some other fish hanging around.
We did our usual dive, headed south, past the first hole and past the
school of bastard trumpeters that are always hanging around the outside
of the second cave. Nothing much in here, so around the back and
back down to the tunnel and chimney. Some PJs in here which we
disturbed. I was last up and had to swim up the chimney through a
school of catfish. YUK. Then it was back around to the sand
line and back to the anchor. An nice cruizy dive and much enjoyed.
