With the conditions getting worse and after not finding much at the
Hilda wreck we decided to visit our favourite site in Botany Bay.
Dive 207 took us to 18m depth with a dive time of 50 mins. This is
the depth on the sand, with the top of the reef being at 15m. On
air we were close to deco time by the end. Despite the poor viz,
we found the old anchor easily. It had fallen over so Wayne put it
back up again. We checked the slate that we had left there and
there was another comment on it from another visitor. Fish life a
plenty and lots of lost anchors makes this a great site. The
gutters through the middle of reef are large enough to enter and I took
advantage of that, swimming into several of them. There were quite
a number of fresh PJ eggs around the reef.
