Lous Rock sits out from Bass Point, north west of the Arch. There are 2 moorings here, one on the north and one on the south. We tied up to the north one in 24m. Down we went and we see a landscape of cascading rock formations, gutters, pinnacles and large rocks. The topography falls from around 12m where it gets a bit surgy, down to 28m on the sand. There are huge schools of fish here. Bullseye and old wives in very large schools, groper and mowong, rays and on the sand 2 PJs. We saw a number of moray eels, a slipper shrimp, cod and a number of other fish that I haven't been able to id. The sea tulips and colourful gorgonian fans add to the beauty of this area. and you don't need to go more than 5m from the mooring to really enjoy this site. |
