We had ventured to Shellharbour on a cold and rainy October long weekend. We had planned 3 dives not sure which 3. Last time at Bass point we had really enjoyed Lous Rock so wanted to do it again. We took the North mooring. We chose to swim along the East side of the rock at depths between 13m and 20m. This time it was a bit disappointing. While there were schools of bullseye and old wives, much of the other life was missing. Viz was good and we covered quite a distance around the rock. The gorgonian sponges were plentiful but not large. Overall, a nice dive but not as good as our first time here. When we surfaced another dive boat had arrived and was disgorging 10 or so divers into the water. |
