Pig Island is only a short boat trip from the ramp at Port Kembla. We
anchored at our usual place on the south east end of the island.
Viz was great and fish life was huge. There were schools of
yellowfin tuna that would swim around us in large circles.
Thousands of bullseye around crevices and to our surprise a large
wobbiegong resting in a cave. Cuttles and old wives and the potato
cod that we saw there on our last dive was still there in the same
place. It obviously has taken up residence here. We dive to
24m on the bottom. The best life is at around 16 to 18 metres.
This place is just prolific with fish life and we have only explored
less than 50m from the anchor.
