Bombo 07-05-16 |
|
My first dives for 2016. Weather was perfect, no wind, clear water and calm seas. An odd 'fog' hung over the land which I put down to hazard reduction burn off being done around the Sydney area. First dive was on the SS Bombo. I've done the Bombo a lot and it is a great dive. Wayne, Heinz and Peter Flockart headed down in clear water, finding great viz at the bottom. A large bullray was resting on the port side of the boiler. It hung around for some photos before getting restless from all the attention and swimming off. We went to the bow which changes with every dive as the sandy bottom moves. Then back along the starboard side the rear and the prop. I stayed as long as I could, getting close to deco as we lifted the anchor.
