We had previously driven over Point Tupei on the south side of Long Bay and had noticed a significant drop off. With excellent viz we anchored in 20m and found a landscape that is just breathtaking. There were big rock formations and sheer walls, overhangs and fish life akin to what we have seen at Barrons Hut. The sandy bottom is at 20m with rock formations coming up to 10m or so. There are many gulleys and gutters and some really nice swim throughs. The funnel from the Malabar is reported to be in this area. There is an amazing ghetto where there are hundreds of golf balls. Amongst the fish life were PJs, groper, yellowtail, bullseye, stripeys. This is definitely a site worthy of more visits. It is quite exposed to is really only divable on calm seas.
