Having lost Jenny's fin at monument wall we had to go and get a replacement.  So off the Chowder Bay on a sunny March 2nd, 2008.  We parked at Clifton Gardens and paid the $15 fee.  Luckily as the rangers came through several times during the day.  It was Chowder Bay day and there were many exhibitions in the various buildings.  We bought fins and after talking to a few people, including Anthony who was on my DM course and now an instructor with Plunge.  We decided to dive the chain, which radiates out from an anchored container in the middle of the bay.  I had drawn the layout from a map in the shop.  We giant strided in from the wharf and headed for the container.  Missed it the first time so surface swam to it.  It is anchored on some very large chain. if you were to put your hand in the links it would crush it easily.  We followed several arms - did not see too much.  viz at best 3m and a crab, leather jackets and a mourning cuttle.  It was a nice enough dive and good training for Jenny.
