Wayne had not dived Old Mans Hat so after the
Annie M Milller, and a visit to plunge we headed across the Harbour to
Old Mans Hat. A lovely dive site with lots of big boulders, swim
throughs, sponge gardens and a variety of fish life. We saw
several wobbiegongs and a lovely pair of mourning cuttle. One of
the cuttles was feeding from a sponge (see pics), very nice indeed.
At the sand line the depth is around 22m but you can get right up to 8m
or so a and get great fish life.
The coast line in this area is quite extensive and is
well worth exploring.
