After diving the Malabar on January 21, 2006 we headed off to Bare Island. We had circumnavigated the island once before but this time we intended to do it in the shallower water. We entered off the East side and visited the admiralty anchor first before heading south. We stayed close to the island not getting any deeper than 12m. At the back of the island we were no deeper than 6m. There is a lot of fascinating scenery here - overhangs, gutters and crevices. Some nice sponge gardens and different fish from what is normally seen at the more regularly dived parts of the island.
