Our second dive and with an early start we were in the
water again at 9:30. It was still cold and doing this on air as a
second dive with a 1 hours surface interval would limit us to
around 40 mins. We wanted to see how the SS Minnow (sunken boat)
was looking. So, having dropped anchor at the wall we headed west
along the wall. Viz was good here - much better than at Kurnell.
We came across the anchor sitting proudly in the sand. And a bit
further on we expected to see the boat - but all we found was sand and
reef. What a disappointment. It must have been salvaged.
We did see a flying gunard and some nice PJs and a very friendly groper.
A good second dive and we were home before Midday. |
