After a good dive at Henry Head the conditions up top were looking to
deteriorate but still OK. A shallowerdive would be go, and after a
lengthy surface interval in the sheltered waters on the West side of
Henry Head we thought we'd check out the isolated reefs. We found
on easily enough with t he bottom finder and anchored in 17m depth.
The anchor was right on the West edge of the reef. We followed the
edge around. This is an interesting reef and well worth it.
Besides the usual fish life I saw a number of hermit crabs and a small
lion fish. I came across the boat ladder at one end of the reef.
The sand is at 17-18m while the top of the reef is at 15m. Too
soon our no-deco time was getting tight so we sent the anchor up and
packed up. A lovely dive.
