Being on holidays and it being a great day we head off to Bare Island for a couple of dives.  First dive was the west side following the reef out and around.  We had hoped to find some sea horses around the end of the reef.  A diver had told us that there were some there but we could not find them anywhere around the  end under any of the overhangs.  We have an overly friendly groper that kept getting in our faces. It clearly expected to be fed and would not go away, even when we pushed it and kicked at it.

After some food and rest we climbed down the shore and dropped in.  We planned to dive along the shore to the west.  Along the way we found a group of large rocks with gutters and overhangs.  We swam around these and headed on.  Fish life here was sparse.  There was quite a good selection of old wives, yellowtail bullseye and most of the other Bare island regulars around the rocks but no where else.  Back where we started we practiced deploying the safety sausage and reel.  With plenty of air left we felt it better to head across toward the island and exit at the ramp. I said to Jen to keep an eye out for an old outboard motor that was in this area.  Well, a few minutes later we swam over the top of the outboard motor.  After stopping for some pics of it we headed on with Jen navigating.  We ended up very close to our target.  Well Done.
