After work I had arranged to met Jenny at Bare Island.  I was there at 5.30, expecting Jenny by 6, but as it so often does, Sydney traffic had it's way.  A 4 car pile up meant Jenny had to take the long way around and finally got there about 7.  The plan was to go in and for Jenny to practice some buoyancy skills.  We went out to sea horse rock in about 8m deep.  We did fin pivots although Jen's floatie feet didn't help.  We tried hovers and did OK too.  On the way back we came across 2 mourning cuttles, in the same area as we had seen them recently.  I expect that they are the same pair.  Back near the island we dumped most of Jen's air and did a surface buoyancy check.  Off came 4 lb down to 12lb and with only 20bar in a12L Faber steel cylinder she could still easily descend.

A good outcome! While we were under the water the wind had whipped up to almost gale strength.  Back at the car the wind would slam the car door shut.  We finished with dinner at the local restaurant, which was very busy for a Wednesday night.
