Another beautiful day and this one is a solo at Bare
Island West. The bridge is being repaired and there was no access
at all to it. So I clambered down the slope and the rocks and
entered at the bottom of the car park. Dropping down I headed
across the reef and followed it out to the cave and then around to the
lone sea horse. I traced my steps back and left the reef and
exited where I had entered. I had wanted to prove myself on this
solo dive - deeper at 14.3m and longer at 55 mins than any previous solo
dives. I had my pony so was not at risk but diving solo is not as
much fun as with a buddy or two. The water was warm, the seas
smooth and there were lots of fish around. This was dive 307 for
me.
